Department Of Homeland Security Warns Of Social Media Threats, While Ignoring Raging Border Crisis

The latest release of Department of Homeland Security bulletin: “Summary of Terrorism Threat to the U.S. Homeland” alerts the country to the newly heightened intensity of terrorist threats and warns of potential attacks inspired by “social media”.  Apparently the narrative guardians, AKA “fact checkers”, have failed at curbing “mis”, “dis” and “mal” information to the point out of control instigators of the potentially violent have become a national security issue.

Move over FB, DHS says “hold my beer”.

There is no mention of concern involving the open border or the transporting of illegal border crossers (two million+ in 2021) around the country, but they do point out the threat of those who express objection to the Afgans resettling could be the cause of terrorist acts.

There’s nothing to fear, of course, DHS has a response plan:

“DHS’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis established a new, dedicated domestic terrorism branch to produce the sound, timely intelligence needed to counter related threats. The Department expanded its evaluation of online activity as part of its efforts to assess and prevent acts of violence”

“DHS is working with public and private sector partners, as well as foreign counterparts, to identify and evaluate MDM, including false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories spread on social media and other online platforms that endorse or could inspire violence…”

Those FB & MEWE users who might inadvertently “inspire violence” are the real threat so censorship is not only warranted, it’s imperative, a point to be proven and justified by the first domestic violence event. Of course at that point the public will gladly support mass control of such dangerous communication, and whatever else deemed necessary to protect the public. The Patriot Act is the simplest of options.

It hasn’t been mentioned anywhere I’m aware of, but since the FBI terrorist unit, according to a whistle blower, has assigned a red tag to parents upset with school boards, I wonder if opinionated FB & MEWE users are tracked and investigated in a similar way?

Anyone threatening violence or promoting or engaging in it deserves prosecution, but blaming expression of opinion or discussion of perspectives and facts is not endangering the public. Shutting down that discussion certainly does.

If the concern is for terrorism the very first demonstration of commonsense and wisdom would be control of the border and the vetting of those crossing it. This country is more vulnerable to terrorist attack than at any time in it’s history. When it happens watch for a massive blame campaign and activity aimed at isolation and shutting down of  “right wing” discussion and non-conformed thinking. It’s as if the DHS bulletin was an announcement of intent along these lines. Their approach makes no sense otherwise.
