Lauren Boebert (CO-R) has won her congressional race recount and will be heading back to D.C. for a second term, the congresswoman confirmed on her Twitter account Sunday evening.
“I’m happy to report all the counties in Colorado’s 3rd district have completed their recounts. We’ve won this election as expected, and I’m headed to represent you in Washington D.C.” Boebert said in a video to her followers.
Boebert vowed to “help get our country back on track and put a hard stop to the hard left’s move towards socialism”. The Colorado America First congresswoman reminded Republicans that they must now prove that they deserve to be in the majority along with a follow-up post thanking her constituents for entrusting her to help lead the way.

Colorado’s Secretary of State’s office ordered the mandatory recount of the election results between Republican Lauren Boebert and Democrat Adam Frisch in the 3rd congressional district race on December 1st.
The recount is required by state law. While Boebert proclaimed victory and Frisch conceded the race 10 days after Election Day, there were only 550 votes separating the two. That translates to a 0.34 percent vote differential. State statute requires a mandatory recount when a race is within 0.5 percent. The recount has now been finalized and Boebert is still the winner of Colorado’s 3rd district.
