PA Secretary of State Already Making Excuses For ‘Delays’ In Counting Midterm Votes

Published on

May I speak candidly? Mail-in voting in a country like America is the most asinine concept on the face of the planet and only causes complete chaos amongst voting communities and seriously hampers election integrity – PERIOD!

This isn’t the 15th century. We have the technology to get votes counted in milliseconds yet we play these stupid mail-in ballot games that end up taking WEEKS to count, and that’s exactly what Pennsylvania plans on doing in their state, according to the acting PA Secretary of State.

On Monday, Pennsylvania acting Secretary of State Leigh M. Chapman revealed that there will likely be delays in posting the results from the state’s midterm election.

Chapman detailed in a virtual news conference how the state would be handling vote counting in the upcoming election, and said that it would likely take several days to count and certify the votes, according to Lehigh Valley News.

We’re still weeks away from November 8th and Pennslyvania is already making excuses because for some reason, nearly two years later, they still can’t get their act together. This is totally unacceptable for a battleground state like PA when the stakes are this high and only instigates serious mistrust in the electoral system, especially after what happened in 2020.

“It’s really important for us to get accurate information about the election process in Pennsylvania,” Chapman said. “So voters and the public know that when there are delays in counting, it doesn’t mean that there’s anything nefarious happening. It’s just what the law is in Pennsylvania.”

Chapman said that the potential for delays is due to poll workers not being able to pre-canvas or count mail-in ballots before election day, despite them having two years to get organized.

Two races being closely watched in the state are the race for governor, with Republican Doug Mastriano and Democrat Josh Shapiro vying for the position, and the race for senate, with Democrat John Fetterman and Republican Mehmet Oz running against each other.
