Joe Biden and the Democrats promised the American people that tapping the strategic petroleum reserve was the holy-grail solution to ending skyrocketing gas prices once and for all. But of course, no one believed him – except for a handful of Democrats I guess. Supply and Demand Joe, it’s not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Just a day after Californians saw gas top $6 for a gallon of regular unleaded, gasoline prices made their largest jump in seven years overnight.

According to AAA, the Los Angeles-Long Beach region increased 15.3 cents overnight to $6.26/gallon Thursday.

The price increase is the largest since a 15.1 cent increase in July 2015, as reported by KTLA.

It was also the 27th consecutive day gas prices have risen in Los Angeles County, where prices are 67 cents higher than they were a week ago.

Statewide, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded stands at $6.18, which is still less than the record high of $6.46 set in June.

While Joe Biden continues to claim gas prices are declining ahead of the midterms, cities across America are seeing rises at the pump again. Biden, while speaking on Hurricane Ian screamed at the Oil and Gas companies to not raise prices in the wake of the storm that devastated the Fort Meyers region Wednesday night.

Instead of consoling the people of Florida after Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on the state, Biden screamed at the gas companies, “Do NOT use this storm as an excuse to raise gasoline prices or gouge the American public.” The President then continued to take credit for falling gas prices over the last 2 months, yet he refused to take responsibility while they rose to record-breaking levels months prior, pinning the blame entirely on “Putin’s price hike”.
