As if we didn’t see this coming – the same-sex kiss scene that Toy Story decided to go woke over, ended up costing Pixar close to $40 million. To put things into perspective as to how awful the film did, Lightyear’s Rotten Tomatoes score is lower than the entire Toy Story franchise. On a scale of 1 to catastrophic, we’re talking diabolicle.
The film earned just $51 million during its opening weekend, down from an estimated $70 to $90 million.
Benny Johnson, journalist, and host of The Benny Report on Newsmax summarized what most parents were already thinking.
“Guess the business plan of telling parents that your company will strip their children of the moral values and groom them into a life of cultural marxism, gender confusion don’t play at the box office – idiots.”
Prior to the film debuting this past weekend during Juneteenth, critics already warned of a disastrous open. “Pixar’s Lightyear (2022) hasn’t even debuted in theaters yet, but the Toy Story (1995) spinoff has already become the worst-rated Disney movie in history,” reported insidethemagic.net.
Many Disney fans weren’t even able to watch Lightyear (2022), in some theaters due to the same-sex kissing scene, and several countries straight up banned the film from being played altogether including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the U.A.E.
According to Breitbart, “Lightyear reportedly cost $200 million to produce, and you know the predators at Disney must have spent at least another $100 million for worldwide promotion. That’s a $300 million price tag, which means Lightyear will have to gross around $550 to $650 million worldwide just to break even, which seems pretty unlikely.”

I get it, Disney was trying to go inclusive and push their transgender narrative on our children, but they should have listened to parents and critics in the first place who never wanted anything to do it.
This was an epic fail for Disney, and hopefully, they learned their lesson. Maybe now they’ll get off Governor Ron DeSantis’s back and stop slamming him for his recent Parental Rights bill that forbids instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through third grade.
Can’t say we didn’t warn you Disney, and Donald Trump did say it best… “Everything woke turns to shit”.
