Republicans quickly came to the defense of former President Donald Trump on Wednesday after obsessed Attorney General Letitia James announced a $250 million civil lawsuit against Trump and his 3 children, Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Trump Jr.

NY Rep. Elise Stefanik (R) was among them who called out James for her deranged anti-trump behavior.

Stefanik shared her statement on Twitter:

“Tish James has been on a deranged, anti-Trump mission since even before she became Attorney General. This is just another chapter of the illegitimate witch hunt against President Trump. Corrupt Tish James is down 2 points in the latest independent poll from the Trafalgar Group against Republican Michael Henry. Republicans are going to surge to victory across New York because hard-working New Yorkers are tired of corrupt Albany Democrats putting their own deranged anti-Trump obsession ahead of supporting law and order.”

Former U.S. Attorney Bill Barr also weighed in on the lawsuit suggesting to Fox News that “this is a political hit job.”

“This is a political hit job. I think it’s gonna backfiring on them. For Trump, this is another example of people piling on because of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
