Joe Biden is once again taking credit for a solution to a problem he caused in the first place. He seems to be doing that a lot lately, but then again if it weren’t for Joe’s manufactured crisis he consistently inflicts upon the American people with his America last policies, he’d never be able to take credit for pretty much anything.
Joe Biden, who only knows how to take credit when the economy slightly rebounds from its catastrophic free fall, is at it again with another Biden fib, only this time, he’s instructing the media on exactly how to frame his 5 seconds of unworthy fame.
In an email sent out to reporters by White House staff, the Biden administration is claiming that Americans should interpret the falling price of fuel as a monthly raise.
Titled in the subject line “ICYMI: America Just Got A $100-A-Month Raise,” the email says, “President Biden has taken decisive action to lower prices at the pump, and the current drop in gas prices is the fastest decline in over a decade… thanks to that decline, Americans are collectively spending around $400 million less each day than they would if gas prices had stayed at their peak.”
The email also includes a link to a CNN story that dropped at the same time as the email, with the first line reading, “Next time you stop at a gas station, think of it as a $100-a-month tax cut. Or a maybe $100-a-month raise.”
Not only is Joe Biden and the left-wing media completely deranged for suggesting that we should be praising a $0.50 drop in gas prices when they are still up $2 per gallon since Biden took the reigns on the Oval, but they actually believe we are dumb enough to go along with such a ridiculous claim.
CNN even went as far as touting the slight drop in gas prices as economic success on the Biden administration’s part.
The email notes that the average U.S. household uses roughly 90 gallons of gas per month, so a decrease of $1.10 in prices equals a savings of $98.82.
What CNN and the Biden clown show failed to mention, was that at the beginning of summer, gas prices hovered at roughly $5 a gallon and more than $6 in some states. According to AAA, that number has since dipped but still remains relatively high. Today, the nation’s national average is $3.92. However, fuel prices were only about $2.60 a gallon the day Biden took office.
Does Joe Biden really think we’re that stupid? Does he really think we’d suddenly develop a case of amnesia at the pump and forget about the last year over a few cents price drop?
Suggesting we all just got a “pay rise” because gas dropped a few cents after rising dollars is no different than suggesting “you’re winning at the casino” because you finally made $50 back after losing $200. The fact of that matter is, you’re still down!
Nice try Joe. Let us know when gas falls below Trump-era $2.60 and then maybe we’ll buy into your nonsense story that we’re actually saving money at the pump. Until then, you got a lot of work to do. Trust me, things are bad out there.
