When Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) told the media a couple of days ago that he was getting ready to send more migrants to Democrat-run cities including New York City and Washington D.C. he wasn’t kidding. He also said ‘more cities on the list’.
According to official statements by Abbott, the first bus of border migrants has arrived in New York City and was dropped off Friday morning on a green bus at Port Authority Bus Terminal at Gate 14.
“In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city. I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief.”
Abbott shared the good news on Twitter (for the illegal migrants at least), stressing, once more, that President Biden is refusing to do his job and secure the southern border.
“The 1st bus of migrants has arrived in NYC. Biden refuses to do his job, so Texas continues to take unprecedented action to secure our border. NYC is the ideal destination for these migrants. They can receive the services Mayor Adams has boasted about w/in the sanctuary city.”
