ANOTHER DEM BLASTS BIDEN: Rep. Ro Khanna Says Joe Can Do ‘Way More’ To Fight Inflation

Published on

Even Democrats themselves are growing increasingly tired of Joe Biden’s failed policies. There isn’t much the President gets right these days. Between rising gas prices, inflation, and the raging border crisis, it’s no wonder Joe’s got the worst approval rating in history, one that’s even starting to irritate members of his own party.

Add Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif to the list of Democrats who have had enough of Joe’s nonsense. Khanna broke with Biden on inflation in a Thursday op-ed in the New York Times, arguing the president’s solutions to inflation are merely “reacting to headlines.”

In the New York Times article titled, “There Is Way More Biden Can Do to Lower Prices,” Khanna scolded Biden for failing to create a feasible plan to reduce the inflation his administration fueled.

“I support the president’s efforts, but we need a bolder vision and faster action,” Khanna wrote.

“To meet the moment, Mr. Biden should convene an emergency task force empowered to lower prices and address shortages. We need an all-out mobilization, not just a few ad hoc initiatives reacting to headlines,” he added.

But Khanna didn’t stop with Biden. He went on to say that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, and Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm should comprise the task force, along with representatives of state and local governments and business leaders.

Ro Khanna suggested that the task force could lower prices by purchasing food and fuel during global price dips and reselling it cheaply to Americans.

With gas prices setting another record of $4.715 on Thursday, inflation will cost American households on average an extra $5,200 in 2022, or $433 per month, according to Bloomberg. Inflation is also set to delay 25 percent of Americans from retirement, a BMO Real Financial Progress Index survey revealed.
