Biden Declares ‘The Pandemic Is Over’ With Less Than Two Months Before Midterm Elections

President Biden declared the coronavirus pandemic “over” in a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday, pointing to the return of large events and the lack of masking and other public health measures in place nationwide.

“The pandemic is over,” Biden told “60 Minutes” from the Detroit auto show last Wednesday, the first time the event has been held since the onset of the pandemic in 2020.

“We still have a problem with COVID. We’re still doing a lotta work on it. It’s — but the pandemic is over. if you notice, no one’s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it’s changing. And I think this is a perfect example of it.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was quick to point out in a now-deleted Tweet that Biden needs to now reinstate our troops seeing that “The Pandemic Is Over”.

“Can we reinstate our troops who didn’t get an explanation experimental vaccine now?”

America’s service men and women weren’t the only ones fired during the pandemic for not complying with Biden’s pandemic induced vaccine mandate. Nearly 2,000 NYC teachers have been fired for refusing to comply with Mayor Eric Adams September 5th deadline.

User RandomGarbageMan posted on social media, “I’d like to remind everyone that tonight @POTUS declared COVID over but tomorrow thousands of NYC civil servants will still be fired because they’re not vaccinated against the thing there’s no pandemic of, because @NYCMayor is following the high heeled cucksteps of @BilldeBlasio”

But not everyone welcomed the news with open arms. Eric Feigl-Ding, an Epidemiologist, Health Economist and Co-founder at the World Health Network lost his mind on Twitter arguing that the pandemic is in fact NOT over.

“Heck no. With all due respect, @JoeBiden — you’re wrong,” Dr. Ding posted. “Pandemic is not over. Almost 3,000 Americans are dying from #COVID19 every single week.”

“A weekly 9/11 is a very big deal. Don’t even get me started on #LongCOVID—wreaking havoc on millions more.”

Others, including several parents want to know if the pandemic is over, why can’t students return to the “old normal”?

Justin Spiro, a School Social Worker who is fighting to bring normalcy back to kids after two years of disrupted childhood said, “President Biden just declared the COVID-19 pandemic “over” on 60 Minutes. In NYC, unvaccinated parents cannot enter their children’s school and unvaccinated high schoolers cannot join the basketball team. Why is the pandemic “over” everywhere but schools?”

The U.S. and much of the world have returned to hosting large events over the past year, like the auto show, and done away with requirements that attendees wear masks or provide proof of vaccination. The U.S. still requires foreign visitors to be fully vaccinated to come to the country by plane.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, Biden’s top medical adviser on the pandemic, said earlier this year the U.S. was moving “out of the pandemic phase” with COVID-19, pointing to the manageable levels of hospitalizations and deaths in the country.
