The Attempts to Normalize Child Sex Predators And ‘Reduce The Stigma’ Around Pedophilia

I love family gatherings.  Especially with my more “enlightened” family members who are, for the most part, left of center.  I bring an extra bottle of wine, solely for my own consumption, when politics becomes a topic of conversation.  Back in 2016, I was invited to an extended family get together, and the fireworks started as soon as I arrived.  My younger cousin, who considers herself  so “woke”, (even before that term has become more in use at present), asked me an interesting and inflammatory question:

“So…what are your thoughts about Georgia’s homophobic law about public bathrooms?”

You’ve got to love hit and run questions like this.  Luckily, I was very well armed with common sense and a working knowledge of what she was asking.

What she was referring to was a State law passed by the State of Georgia in response to a Federal mandate issued by the Obama Department of Justice that directed  all public schools around the nation requiring them to allow all their transgender students to use the bathroom that matches the gender they identify with.  The Law passed by the State of Georgia was to keep the traditional gender identity of public bathrooms with zero tolerance for “gender fluidity”.  Meaning that boys/men use public Men’s Room, and girls/women use the public Women’s Room.

The Legislative and Executive Branch of the State of Georgia were reacting to the statistical data from their local and State Police Departments that recorded arrests for criminal sexual molestation of children by persons who think they have an affirmative defense by stating that they are “gender fluid” or “transgender”.

The fight against the DOJ’s ludicrous bathroom policy was geared towards protecting our children from child sexual predators..  Being that my cousin has a little daughter under the age of ten, I was surprised that she’d be alright with having a man using the same public bathroom as her child would.  My cousin became silent, conceding the argument, and I happily enjoyed my bottle of wine in victory.

Although, to this day, it still nags me.  How did this issue become linked to gay rights?  It puzzles me that there are people out there in everyday Life think that protecting child sex predators is part of a human rights issue.

There seems to be a radical shift in public discourse to normalize child sexual predators.  The common term used, “pedophile”, is a term I do not use.  The word “pedophile” does not truly describe what these degenerates truly are.  I believe in calling them what they truly are: Child Sexual Predators.

According to an article posted on January 2, 2021 by the Coalition of African-American Pastors on their website:

“Not many people will admit it – in fact, it’s being covered up by the media – but our society is in the middle of a secret, sustained effort to normalize pedophilia.

I know that it’s hard to believe. We don’t want to think that there are people so evil and misguided at work in our culture. But we can’t close our eyes to the truth. There are people who are working to reclassify the sexual abuse of children as yet another form of “sexual identity.”

But don’t take my word for it. Do the research. Start with the article from Salon writer Todd Nickerson, where he confesses his attraction to children, saying that he first “fell in love” with a child he was babysitting from when he was a teenager. The article is called “I’m a pedophile, but not a monster,” and it purports to describe a community of “virtuous pedophiles” who claim that they don’t hurt children (though Nickerson admits to consuming child pornography) and want to ‘reduce the stigma’ around pedophilia.”

According to a personal story written by self proclaimed child sex predator, David Goldberg:

“The main query that I am convinced will always be without an answer is why I am a pedophile. It is the equivalent of trying to determine why someone is heterosexual or gay. We don’t choose our sexual orientations. If we could, believe me, no one would choose mine.”

Let me dissect these two blurbs from the articles sampled.  In the article published by the Coalition of African-American Pastors, Child Sex Predator Todd Nickerson confessed that he “fell in love” with a child.  No, in my humble opinion, I can safely assert you didn’t “fall in love”.  I can say that I love steak.  I love eating a good steak because it brings me enjoyment.  I can also say, with a totally different meaning,  that I love my family.  Not because of any personal enjoyment, but because my love for them is unconditional.  Love for a human being is truly an altruistic and beautiful experience.  That is the fundamental difference.  A child sexual predator’s “love” for a child is akin to my love of eating steak, with zero thought of the well being of the child they proposed to have “loved” or how damaged his/her victim will become for being violated.

As for David Goldberg’s personal post in “The Atlantic”.  It reads like an affirmative defense, meant to humanize his “affliction”, linking it to a sexual preference.  I was moderately aggravated at this assertion.  Adult relations, heterosexual or homosexual, are just that:  Adult Relations.  David Goldberg is not the victim, as this self-pitying post seems to suggest.   I am a true believer in the power of personal redemption.  I do believe that people can change for the good through personal, spiritual and ethical growth.  I hope that Mr. Goldberg is sincere about changing his Evil ways, and not just seeking sympathy from the reader.

The push to normalize child sex predators has even hit State Governmental bodies.  In 2020 the California General Assembly has approved legislation that would reduce the penalty for adults having sexual relations with children.

Under the proposed law, an adult convicted of having intercourse with a minor would receive a reduced penalty, provided the minor was a willing participant, and there is not more than ten years difference in age between the participants.   In an effort to link child sex predators with the gay community,  California State Democrat Senator Scott Wiener reportedly stated that his bill would end “blatant discrimination against young LGBT people engaged in consensual activity.” He further stated that existing laws that punish adults who have sex with kids amount to “horrific homophobia”. Not only was this proposed bill absolutely insane, but it should be an extreme insult to the adult gay community as a whole for lumping child sex predators under the LGBT umbrella.

Most recently, just this week, Norfolk, VA Old Dominion University Professor, Dr. Allyn Walker posted a video where he defended “pedophilia”.  In his video, he stated that  “pedophiles shouldn’t be seen as ‘immoral’ because they can’t help their urges” and encourages the use of the words “minor attracted persons” instead of “pedophiles or child sexual predators.  After extreme public onslaught, Old Dominion placed Dr. Walker on administrative leave.

Forcing a child into a sexual act by an adult is an abomination, and should be punished in accordance with the Law.  Lumping the child sexual predator under the political manifestation of the LGBT umbrella is insulting, not just to the gay community, but to society as a whole.  I believe that the push for gay rights has been hijacked by despicable actors as a cover up to push their own selfish sexual predation.  We cannot let this go unchallenged.
