Snowfall scenario posted this morning on Upstate Snow.
The models are driving me CRAZY! The 12Z NAM goes much closer to yesterday’s 12Z Euro pictured. This is a high end snow scenario and the farthest west scenario.
If you believe the newest GFS, outside of southeastern New England, not much snow at all. In NYC for example, 1.8″ on GFS, 24″ for the NAM. Say what? So what do I believe is going to happen? Well the 500mb trough is west. It’s over WNY and Western PA. With this being the case I don’t see this Nor’easter flying harmlessly off the coast with few people impacted. I think a lot of folks, especially in New England, will be impacted.
I’ll have a call for snowfall amounts soon, but in the meantime, stay weather aware. If you are planning a trip to the big cities this weekend, especially NYC or Boston, I’d reschedule them. As of most of Upstate NY, unless you are in the Capital Region or Hudson Valley, the storm will have few if any impacts.
