“Jackie?! Where’s Jackie?!” If you’re a bit behind on what happened yesterday, allow me to bring you up to speed.
While speaking at a “Hunger, Health, and Nutrition” conference in Washington, the President, who was thanking Representatives for their support, asked where Representative Jackie Warloski was. “Jackie, Where’s Jackie? She must not be here today,” Biden said. The problem, however, is that Rep. Jackie (R-IN) died tragically in a car accident not even 2 months ago. And yes, Bide was aware as he personally sent his condolences to the family.
Fast forward hours later, and the Press, understandably, grilled Press Secratary for the mishap to which Karine Jean-Pierre completely tried and FAILED to gloss over.

“I’m trying to get my head around this. If the late Congresswoman was on the President’s mind, why was he looking for her?” asked one reporter.
“People can understand when someone is top of mind. This was such an important event,” explained Jean-Pierre.
“As he was naming some folks, she was top of mind. I don’t think it’s unusual!” she added.
“He was acknowledging her incredible work!” added the official.
