GOING FOR GOLD: 5 Major Democrat Cities On Pace To Break Last Year’s Homicide Totals

Published on

If there’s one thing the Democrats are good at, it’s crime. No, not solving crime, but going soft on it. As a matter of fact, five major U.S. cities, according to Fox News, are currently on pace to smash their homicide totals from last year, continuing a violent trend that started in 2020.

Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Milwaukee, and Atlanta, all Democrat-controlled have seen homicide numbers outpace their mark from 2021 halfway through this year, with Milwaukee seeing the largest spike of the group, according to crime data reviewed by Fox News. Wisconsin’s largest city has recorded 96 homicides as of June 17 compared to 77 at this time a year ago, a 24.7% increase.

You’d think the nation’s capital, home of the President Of The United States, would be one of the safest cities to live in. It’s actually quite the contrary. D.C. recorded 93 homicides as of June 17 compared to 82 at this same time last year, a 13.4% increase. Atlanta came in just behind Washington D.C., with homicides as of June 11 totaling 68 compared to 60 at the same time in 2021, a 13.3% increase. Baltimore is smashing its record with 153 homicides up from 142 (7.7% increase) and Los Angeles recorded a whopping 162 homicides, an increase over 2021’s year-to-date totals of 151.

Experts warn to not get too comfortable, and that a shot for the title (no pun intended) is still up for grabs as crime tends to surge in the summer, giving law-abiding citizens little hope of slowing down the rising trend.
