If Biden Really Wanted To Crush Putin He Would Have Added This To The List Of Sanctions

Published on

On February 21, 2020, Joe Biden, on Twitter, made a post that came back to haunt him today.

Vladimir Putin doesn’t want me to be President. He doesn’t want me to be our nominee. If you’re wondering why — it’s because I’m the only person in this field who’s ever gone toe-to-toe with him.”

Such tough words posted on social media.  Such tough…hollow…words.  It is my opinion, Joe, that Putin was very happy to have you placed in the White House.  Why?  Because he knows you.  He knows about all of your foreign policy blunders for the last five decades you’ve been in politics.  He knows you do not have a stomach for true international diplomacy or conflict.  He paid attention to what you and your cronies have done to our military, to what you’ve done in Afghanistan, to what you’ve done to America.  Putin played Chess like a Master…you, Joe, were playing Chutes and Ladders.  To our chagrin, you were more interested in taking America on the chutes going down, rather than take the ladders up.

On August 27, 1991, the United States entered into a mutually beneficial agreement with the newly minted Country of Ukraine, following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

“The U.S.-Ukraine Charter on Strategic Partnership highlights the importance of the bilateral relationship and the continued commitment of the United States to support enhanced engagement between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Ukraine… U.S. Government assistance to Ukraine aims to support the development of a secure, democratic, prosperous, and free Ukraine, fully integrated into the Euro-Atlantic community.”

The Charter was last amended on November 10, 2021 between Secretary of State Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba.

“Declare our determination to deepen our strategic partnership by expanding bilateral cooperation in political, security, defense, development, economic, energy, scientific, educational, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.”

Such…hollow…meaningless…words.  Putin amassed the Russian military at the Ukrainian border weeks ago.  The international community was abuzz with fear and uncertainty.  What was certain was that Putin wanted Ukraine back in the bosom of Mother Russia, by hook or by crook.  There were many different strategies Joe Biden and his Secretary of State could have implemented that would have de-escalated the situation.  Economics comes to mind.  Withdraw our support of the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline.  Lean on Energy Regulators from Germany to slow down their approval.  Impose crippling sanctions upon Russia for this aggressive move against a sovereign nation before invasion…and flex the American Military muscle as a last resort.

Joe did none of this.  The best his bungling administration came up with was to impose sanctions after Russia invaded Ukraine, and they were pretty meaningless.

“But those sanctions did not include an effort to cut Russia off from the SWIFT global banking system. Asked why he isn’t taking that extra step, Biden said his proposals are also strong and that “the rest of Europe” does not want to cut Russia off from SWIFT.

Biden also did not specifically target Russia’s energy industry. That move likely prevented energy prices from skyrocketing more than they already are, but it also drew criticism from Republicans.

‘By failing to impose significant sanctions on the Russian oil and gas industry, which accounts for the majority of all Russian exports, the administration is intentionally leaving the biggest industry in Russia’s economy virtually untouched,’ Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., said”.’.

Much to our National embarrassment, Joe Biden contradicted himself regarding these “swift” sanctions on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

President Biden on Thursday said that ‘no-one expected’ sanctions imposed on Russia in response to its incursions into Ukraine to ‘prevent anything from happening’ — an apparent contradiction from prior White House messaging that emphasized the value of deterrence.”

To add insult to extreme injury, it was announced by the White House on February 9, 2022 that there are no plans to evacuate American Citizens from Ukraine.

“The White House says it is not planning for a mass evacuation of American citizens in Ukraine if Russia were to invade the country… ‘We are constantly evaluating the evolving security situation and planning for a range of contingencies as we always do, but to be clear we are not planning for a mass evacuation of American citizens from Ukraine,’ the official added. ‘President Biden has been clear that we believe Americans in Ukraine would be wise to leave Ukraine.’ ”.

The malaise and lack of resolve to not only help an allied Country, but to fail Americans abroad is unacceptable.  Ukraine should not be standing alone, but they are still standing.  Citizens fighting for the independence of their Country with Molotov Cocktails, small arms and guts.  They took to heart Ukrainian President Zelensky’s warning to Putin that should live on in history:  “When you attack us, you will see our faces. Not our backs, but our faces

I pray for these brave men and women.  I pray that they not only survive this onslaught, but that they persevere in their struggle.  It may be a fool’s prayer, but it’s better than the nothing-burgers being offered by Joe Biden.

History has a tragic way of repeating itself.  When Hitler met with mild wishy-washy Neville Chamberlain after the Nazi invasion of Poland, it did nothing to deter him from expanding his Aryan Empire across Europe.  If Ukraine falls, who will be next?  Chinese President Xi Jinping is certainly paying attention, and he’s slavering at the mouth to invade Taiwan and take them over.  Why wouldn’t he with Joe Biden asleep at the helm?
