A friend, having spent 20 minutes to locate the East Irondequoit’s BOE (Monroe County, NY) meeting that changed venue last minute, learned that they are testing students for Covid. In response to her immediate email, they claim the testing is only being done on an opt-in basis. They stated numerous notifications were given to the parents to opt in. She had received none. 

Concern for my own child prompted me to email the Principal at Wayne Central high School (Wayne County, NY) to ask if students were being Covid-19 tested there. He replied that Wayne is not doing Covid-19 testing at all. 

Of course, I will check again if the county (Wayne) goes red, or if Kathy Hochul, NY State Governor does something else underhanded.
