Yes, AOC and several other House Democrats were arrested on Tuesday during a pro-choice protest, but NO AOC was not handcuffed as she claimed.
The politicians gathered in front of the US Capitol before marching to the court building, chanting “our bodies, our choice” and “we won’t go back”.
Within two minutes of their arrival, police began ordering them to “cease and desist.” Instead, they sat on the street blocking traffic, and were one by one led off by officers as they chanted, “The people, united, will never be divided.”
Per Fox News, a video was captured of Ocasio-Cortez walking away with a policeman holding her and another protester’s arms, smirking, with her hands behind her back in the typical handcuffs pose, yet she wasn’t cuffed. At one point, she raised a fist to the crowd in solidarity, confirming she wasn’t being constrained. Omar also could be seen in a video walking away from the protest with her hands behind her back in handcuffs pose, despite not wearing them.
The images of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who pretended to be handcuffed as they were escorted away from the Supreme Court by police drew immediate ridicule throughout social media.

Curtis Houck, Managing Editor at NewsBusters took a minute to highlight just how ridiculous AOC was acting as she was escorted off-site with a grin from ear to ear.

AOC isn’t the only high-profile congresswoman up for an Acadamy Award. Greg Prince was quick to highlight that Ilhan Omar was also faking being handcuffed.

Brittany Hughes, Managing Editor and Host of The Brittinay Hughes Show and Reality Check pointed out that the entire thing must have been coordinated ahead of time which makes it even more cringe-worthy for both AOC and the entire Democrat party.
The fact that both @AOC and @IlhanMN pretended to be cuffed suggests they orchestrated this beforehand. Which isn't surprising. The whole thing was a stunt from the get-go, and the leftist media lemmings bought it.

And of course, cries of insurrection were being thrown around as well as calls to ban AOC and others present from federal office. Tom Fitton wanted to know if AOC should be banned from federal office for inciting an “insurrection?”
