Steve Bannon Not Impressed With Trump Trading Card Announcement, ‘I Can’t Do This Anymore’

Published on

Not everyone was impressed with Donald Trump’s Trading Card Announcement that the former President made on Thursday – and Steve Bannon, a longtime friend and White House chief strategist under the Trump administration, is no exception.

Bannon, one of Trump’s most loyal supporters, was quick to express disappointment over the new venture but stopped short of blaming 45 for the decision.

“I can’t do this anymore,” Steve Bannon said on his War Room program while speaking with former Trump advisers Steve Cortes and Sebastion Gorka.

“He’s one of the best presidents in history. I gotta tell you. Whoever, what business partner and anybody on the comms team and anybody at Mar-a-Lago, and I love the folks down there, but we’re at war. They oughta be fired today,” Mr Bannon said. “And hey, you don’t have three harder corers than Cortes, Bannon and Seb Gorka. And we’re getting blown up all day on this.”

The former president teased the announcement earlier this week with a cartoon video of Trump in a Superman shirt. On Thursday, Trump made his official announcement.

“My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Bannon wasn’t the only avid loyal Trump supporter to highlight the fact that Trump’s PR completely missed the mark on this one. Michael Flynn was also decidedly unimpressed with Trump’s “major announcement” about his set of NFT trading cards. Flynn said during a podcast appearance that “Whoever advised him on that, I’d fire them immediately.”
