It was just a couple of days ago that woke Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that proof of vaccination will be required for indoor dining, bars, and gyms. The mandate goes into effect on January 3rd.

Her latest statement, however, has residents confused when she announced her new rules to slow the spread of COVID; saying people going into coffee shops to buy a beverage don’t have to show a vaccine passport, but those eating items like muffins must provide their documents.

“If you’re going into that coffee shop to pick up and go, you don’t need to show proof. But if you’re gonna linger, you’re gonna eat that muffin, you’re gonna sit down with your laptop, you gotta show proof of vaccination,” said the Mayor.
