Glenn Youngkin Wins Virginia In Landmark Gubernatorial Race Against Incumbent Terry McAuliffe

Miracles do happen, and Virginia got their miracle last night when Glenn Youngkin defeated incumbent Terry McAuliffe in the 2021 Gubernatorial race.

In what turned out to be the race of the year, Glenn Youngkin pulled off the win by focusing on Education as one of the deciding factors came from the majority of parents who had enough with Terry McAullife and the School Boards tyrannical behavior. Youngkin vowed to ban critical race theory on his first day as Governor.

The 54-year-old Youngkin’s defeat of Democrat Terry McAuliffe marked a sharp turnabout in a state that had shifted to the left over the past decade and which President Joe Biden captured by 10 points in 2020. And as the party felt the sting from that loss, Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey was virtually deadlocked in his bid to win reelection in a state Biden won by 15 points.

The Republican win not only puts Virginia on a path to take back its schools, but it also sends a clear message to Washington and other Democrat states who support Vaccine Mandates and Critical Race Theory, that if you go after our kids, you will be voted out.

According to the Washington Post, only 1/3 of parents want to vaccinate 5-to-11-year-olds ‘right away’ when eligible, report finds. The CDC unanimously voted to recommend that children ages 5-11 get vaccinated against Covid-19 on Tuesday, leading many parents to believe the schools will be next to mandate the vaccine for all students. Democrats will need to tread lightly on this decision otherwise they may see a Virginia upset in a town near them.

All eyes are on New Jersey now as the race for governor remained too close to call early Wednesday as Gov. Phil Murphy’s Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli barely holds on to a 1 point lead.

In a highly contested campaign, Murphy presented himself as a solid progressive. Ciattarelli tried to paint Murphy as out of touch with the average voter and was critical of his leadership during the COVID-19 epidemic.

The campaigns ended their Election Night parties without either claiming victory.
