Far-left Radical Senator Bernie Sanders blasted the hard-working men and women who literally built America when he accused the ‘country’s biggest railroad companies’ of turning a profit, while rail workers haven’t seen a wage increase since 2019.

Bernie claims that railroad employees are being denied a ‘fair contract,’ according to a post on social media.

“The country’s biggest railroad companies made over $20 billion in profits last year, while rail workers haven’t seen a wage increase since 2019 and are currently without a contract. These workers deserve a fair contract and they deserve it NOW,” posted Sanders on Twitter.

Bernie failed to provide a comparative analysis, however, with his statement as to what happened during the years when the railroads took a massive financial hit.

According to the Dow Jones U.S. Railroads Index, there were several periods over a 10-year period where the railroads took a hit before rebounding. Bernie did not disclose whether employee wages suffered during economic down years or if they stayed the same, therefore giving the railroads justification as to why wages didn’t increase substantially in booming years.
