Biden Calls On Congress To Defy Supreme Court Ruling, ‘This Is Not Over’

Published on

First of all, it is over Biden. The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to uphold a Mississippi abortion ban being challenged in the case and 5-4 to overturn Roe Vs Wade. About half the states have already indicated they would move to ban the procedure.

Biden and the Democrats, as suspected, are livid over the SCOTUS ruling regardless of the fact that the Supreme Court did its job today by ruling in favor of the constitution.

You would think that both parties would be celebrating the monumental decision, but as we know, the Democrats are constantly out to dismantle what our founding fathers worked so hard to build for the American people.

Biden immediately addressed the notion claiming ‘This is not over,’ suggesting we defy the Supreme Court ruling and that voters “need to make their voices heard” in November’s midterm elections, saying they “must elect more senators, representatives who will codify a woman’s right to choose in the federal law once again.”

“Personal freedoms are on the ballot. The right to privacy, liberty, equality—they’re all on the ballot,” Biden said. “Until then, I will do all in my power to protect a woman’s right in states where they will face the consequences of today’s decision.”

According to Fox News, Biden on Friday also urged Congress to restore the abortion protections of Roe v. Wade by codifying abortion rights into federal law after the Supreme Court Friday overturned the landmark decision while urging protesters to remain peaceful and saying “violence is never acceptable.”

The president slammed the high court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which he claimed protected “a woman’s right to choose” and “her right to make intensely personal decisions with her doctor, free from interference of politics.”

The president also said Roe v. Wade “was a correct decision” on a “complex matter through a careful balance between a woman’s right to choose.”

“Let me be very clear and unambiguous: the only way we can secure a woman’s right to choose—the balance that existed—is for Congress to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade as federal law,” Biden said. “No executive action from the president can do that.”

What the President failed to mention, however, was that the Supreme Court simply ruled in favor of returning abortion rights back to the states after 50 years of the federal government hijacking the procedure and forcing American taxpayers to fund the murder of unborn babies.

The court’s ruling does not make abortion illegal, but with access to the procedure no longer deemed a constitutional right, states can now move to ban it.

The president said that while the Supreme Court’s decision “casts a dark shadow over large swaths of the land,” there still are “many states in this country that still recognize a woman’s right to choose.”

“So, if a woman lives in a state that restricts abortion, the Supreme Court’s decision does not prevent her from traveling from her home state to the state that allows it,” Biden explained.
