‘Biden Kowtows To Them’, Rand Paul Slams The President On Recent Middle East Trip

Published on

Biden traveled to the Middle East last week to accomplish pretty much nothing. As Fox News reporter Peter Doocy put it, “We get back from this trip. There is no new peace talks in the Middle East. There is no new commitment to increase oil production… So what was the point of this trip?”

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to justify the trip on the President’s behalf, but failed miserably, to say the least.

But Doocy wasn’t the only one who challenged the President over the Middle East tour. Senator Rand Paul (KY-R) also had a lot to say about the lack of accomplishment and deliverance to the American people over the very serious issue of skyrocketing gas prices at the pump.

Paul, who appeared on an episode of The Cats Roundtable hosted by WABC 770 AM-NY, blasted President Biden’s begging trip to Saudi Arabia; calling it “bad economics” and “embarrassing.”

“Rather than traveling to Saudi Arabia, [Biden] should be traveling to Texas or North Dakota, and he should be talking about asking our country to ramp up supply instead of begging and bowing down to the Saudis and asking them to bump up their supply,” Paul said. “It’s shocking that these people are so ignorant, but the price of something is based on the supply and the demand.

Rand Paul continued to roast President Biden calling his administration out for fueling America’s energy crisis by reducing the supply of oil.

“Everything the Biden administration has done has been to reduce the supply. They’ve banished pipelines. They’ve banished drilling permits. They’ve banished drilling leases,” he continued. “They’ve stopped the expansion of drilling into ANWR (Artic National Wildlife Refuge), which is a portion of Alaska, which has enough oil to make us completely energy independent, for probably 100 years.”

“It’s not only bad economics, but it’s embarrassing for him to be over there bowing down to the Saudis and begging them for more oil,” Paul told host John Catsimatidis. “I couldn’t be more opposed to what he’s doing.”

Paul then commented further on Twitter, criticizing the Saudis for human rights violations.

“Saudi Arabia disregards basic human rights, slaughters innocents in Yemen, horrifically murders dissidents, puts millions on the edge of starvation and supports and strengthens our enemies.”

“Yet Biden kowtows to them to try and fix a crisis of his making, instead of changing policies here at home to fix domestic oil production,” Paul continued.

Rand Paul was just one of many Republican heavyweights who slammed the President for delivering a big fat ‘nothing burger’ to the American people following his recent Middle East virtue signaling tour.

Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears sat down with Fox News Digital and called out President Joe Biden for gaslighting the American people on a number of issues including energy, inflation, gas prices, and Saudi Arabia.

Sears called Biden’s trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia “troubling,” adding “I just feel like we’ve lost our way in America.”
