Boebert Says ‘Musk A Republican For 24 Hours, Already Me Too’d’

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) nailed it the other day when she took to Twitter to call out the coincidence that Elon Musk has been accused of sexual harassment shortly after announcing his intentions to vote Republican in the next election.

“It took @ElonMusk barely 24 hours of becoming a Republican for him to be Me Too’d. Do you see the way they play this game now?”

Late Thursday night, Elon Musk was accused of sexual assault, he denied the allegations.

Musk, in a statement to Business Insider, says there’s “a lot more to this story.”

“If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light,” he wrote, calling the story a “politically motivated hit piece.”

Musk also provided commentary on Twitter.

“The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech,” he wrote.

“And for the record, those will accusations are utterly untrue,” Musk added, following up with “But I have a challenge to this liar who claims their friend saw me ‘exposed’ – describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public. She won’t be able to do so, because it never happened.”
