CLASSY: Stacey Abrams’ TikTok Debut Features Campaign Manager Flipping The Bird In Video

Published on

Not sure what’s going on over in the Abrams’ camp, but apparently you now need to post ghetto TikTok videos of your campaign manager flipping the bird in order to rally your base.

Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams’ posted the TikTok video on Thursday featuring Abrams’ campaign manager giving two middle fingers during a dance to a viral Lizzo song.

Lauren Groh-Wargo, who was Abrams’ campaign manager in 2018 when she lost to Brian Kemp and is now working for Abrams again, made the obscene gesture during a part of the song “About Damn Time” in which Lizzo sings, “Cause I give a fuck way too much. I’ma need like two shots in my cup.”

WATCH THE VIDEO:

Exactly who is Stacey Abrahms trying to pander to in this video, because I know for a fact that most respectable Georgians aren’t down with this sort of profanity, especially when it comes to representing your state?

I get it. TikTok garners 100x more views than traditional social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, but will the engagement convert to votes?

Governor Kemp, who recently secured the Republican nomination against Trump-endorsed David Perdue, doesn’t seem to think so. Despite Abrams’ rolling out a new TikTok account, Kemp’s campaign does not plan to create an account on the app for the governor, according to Breitbart News.

The video Abrams shared also features participants who appear to be staff and supporters, though Groh-Wargo is the only one giving the middle fingers.

Kemp campaign press secretary Tate Mitchell shared a screengrab of Groh-Wargo and referenced Abrams’ controversial comment last weekend that Georgia “is the worst state in the country to live in.”

Mitchell wrote, “In less than one week Abrams said Georgia is ‘the worst’ and her campaign manager posted a video flipping off the masses. Steady as she goes, guys!”

Will the inappropriate dance pay off? Only time will tell, but for now, I’m still trying to figure out why Abrams hired Groh-Wargo again when she failed miserably against Governor Brian Kemp the first time around.

The whole thing seems a bit risky to me, and if I were trying to work my way up through the campaign management ladder, I’d probably stay as far away from the Abrams camp as possible.
