Just In: Gov. Newsom’s Reparations Committee To Recommend $223,200 Per Person

Yes, America has completely lost its mind, and California Governor Gavin Newsom is leading the polls in absolute INSANITY. As if America isn’t broke enough – as if inflation isn’t already sky-high, Newsom wants to make our lives a living hell by pissing away what little money we have left to a group of people who claim they’re still suffering nearly 200 years after slavery was abolished.

A reparations committee in California has suggested that descendants of slaves in the state could be compensated $223,200 each for ‘housing discrimination’. Yes, you read that correctly – every descendant could receive just under a quarter of a million dollars each for simply being associated with a slave that died hundreds of years ago. Nearly 6.5% of California residents – 2.5M – identify as Black or African American.

The nine-member Reparations Task Force was formed by California Governor Gavin Newsom as part of the country’s largest-ever effort to address reparations for slavery.

A focus of the California task force has been ‘housing discrimination’ – it has been estimated that it would cost around $569 billion to compensate the 2.5 million Black Californians for setbacks between 1933 and 1977, according to the New York Times

It appears that the far-left radical of the West is out to smash California’s 2021 expenditure record of $512 billion which included funding for schools, hospitals, universities, highways, policing, and corrections.

Will the nearly $250,000 payment be in the form of housing grants, tuition, or straight-up cash payments? The Newsom-appointed task force is still trying to work those details out and has until June 2023 to submit its final recommendations to the Legislature.

According to the Daily Mail, the task force was told by people that lived in Russell City, which has since been bulldozed, that the area was replaced with an industrial park and residents were expelled.

One former resident, Monique Henderson-Ford, told the Times she was paid out $2,200 for her home – less than a third of what she bought it for.

‘Imagine if the houses were still here,’ she said. ‘We would all be sitting on a fortune.’

The median wealth of Black households in the US is $24,100, compared with $188,200 for white households, according to the most recent Federal Reserve Board Survey of Consumer Finances, the Times reported.

The task force met at the California Science Center in South Los Angeles in September to begin the outrageous justification process in an attempt to validate the discussion. In that meeting, it spoke about the time frame across which harms should be considered, and whether payments should be made exclusively to Californians.

In order to pre-sell it to the American people, which will be a monumental feat seeing that Americans wanted absolutely nothing to do with Biden’s recent socialist student relief debt program that got shot down multiple times by legislatures, the task force also said that it had been consulting with historians on how reparations had been paid in previous circumstances, such as after World War II.

Its next meetings, according to its government website, are scheduled for mid-December.

Earlier this year the task force put together a 500-page document outlining why African Americans that are descendants of 19th-century slaves were due ‘comprehensive reparations’.

Fox News’s Jesse Watters was quick to highlight just how ridiculous the multibillion-dollar reparations handout is and that the program will draw out fraudsters who will attempt to scam millions of people into believing that they too can get their quarter of a million dollar check.

JESSE WATTERS: “Newsom’s kicking it up a notch. He wants to launch the most expensive reparations plan in American history, over a half a trillion dollars, a quarter million dollars for any Black person whose ancestor faced housing discrimination. How do you know if you faced housing discrimination? Well, that’s determined by Newsom’s Reparations Task Force. To be eligible for cash, you have to be the descendant of any Black person born in America before 1900. When someone says reparations, you’re probably thinking that cash should go to the families of enslaved Black Americans. Wrong.

Newsom’s Reparation Task Force wants to hand out more cash for what they call mass incarceration, unjust property seizures, devaluation of Black businesses, and access to health care. It sounds like this is going to end up costing more than “Build Back Better.” Just a wee bit. This isn’t just free money — it’s a fortune, a quarter-million-dollar handout per person.
