It’s no surprise that the Vice President’s approval ratings are sinking faster than the titanic. Her catastrophic handling of the southern border crisis drew negative attention from both sides but gave Republicans the opportunity to highlight just how awful Harris is for America.
The Vice President’s approval ratings are so bad, that she even managed to outperform her boss, Joe Biden. With only 39% viewing her favorably vs. 56% unfavorably, for a net of -17 points, it’s no wonder the Democrats can’t even sell out tickets to meet the Veep.
Ticket sales have been so disastrous as of late that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) slashed their price for a photo with Vice President Kamala Harris at a women’s forum amid her tumbling approval rating.
Harris was supposed to appear at the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum this year as a headliner with a reported $15,000 price tag for a photo opp. Not only was the ticket price too high, but they couldn’t even sell enough tickets in the first place, therefore postponing the event altogether.
However, those who still want a picture with Harris and have a spare $5,000 to throw around, have another shot at getting their picture taken with the Vice President after the DNC reportedly slashed the price ahead of Harris’ June fundraiser in her home state of California, according to Puck News.
A 67% discount off the retail price isn’t a good look for Kamala and only highlights just how much hot water the Dems are in heading into the 2022 midterms.
Tara Palmeri, writer for Puck News was quick to highlight the epic ticket sales fail on social media, “DNC is slashing prices for a photo w/ Kamala Harris. Tickets for a photo with the VP at the Women’s Leadership Forum started at $15,000, but it failed to sell enough tickets & is being postponed. VP’s June fundraiser in Cali is charging $5,000 for a photo.”
In addition to Palmeri’s post, RNC deputy national press secretary Nicole Morales tweeted that “Americans may not be able to afford gas or groceries anymore, but at least taking a picture with Kamala is on clearance!“, highlighting just how big of a slap in the face it is to American’s to even charge this much in the first place when so many are struggling at the pump and with out of control inflation.
DNC deputy communications director Daniel Wessel tried to justify the catastrophic disaster by pinning blame on the “hosts and fundraisers [who] set specific ticket prices for each event.”
“As has always been the case, there are a variety of ticket levels for every event as is pretty standard for finance events,” Wessel said. “We’ve raised record amounts of money with help from both Vice President Harris and President Biden, so we’re going to continue to do what clearly works well for the party and our donors.”
