Moms 4 Liberty co-founders Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich appeared on Fox News to discuss the National Education Association’s attempt to replace ‘mother’ and ‘father’ with ‘birthing parent’ and ‘non-birthing parent.’ They also voiced their frustrations with the Biden administration’s constant overreach: America’s moms and dads ‘don’t co-parent with the government.’

Parents across the country share the sentiment and are sick and tired of the teacher’s unions acting like political activists and not enough like educators.

“It seems like a real lack of focus on education and really what we’re seeing is…the Biden Administration, the Teachers Unions —everyone ignoring really what America’s parents want and need. America’s parents want to partner with…their children’s schools but they don’t co-parent with the government,” Justice says.

The National Education Association has proposed a resolution that would replace the word “mother” with the term “birthing parent” in all contracts in an effort to be more inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“Using this contract language, members need not worry about how a Board of Education/solicitor defines ‘maternity leave,’ ‘mother,’ and/or ‘father’; the language is an inclusive reflection of how LGBTQIA+ members build families,” the proposed resolution said.

According to Fox News, “NEA’s resolutions, called new business items (NBI) represent the teachers’ union’s opinions and beliefs. Many resolutions were voted on Wednesday by the Representative Assembly (RA), comprised of 6,000 educators, in Chicago as well as virtually. The resolution on the language change – NBI 63 – was ultimately not brought to a vote.”
