‘STOP GASLIGHTING US’, Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears Blasts Biden On Failed Energy Policies

Published on

It’s no surprise that President Biden got absolutely nothing accomplished while traveling the Middle East begging for oil last week. But you wouldn’t know that from the media who spent all day Monday gaslighting the American people in an attempt to convince us that Joe had it all under control and that we’d start to see the impact his visit has on the pumps in as little as “two weeks.”

Not everyone fell for it though. Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears sat down with Fox News Digital and blasted President Joe Biden for gaslighting the American people on a number of issues including energy, inflation, gas prices, and Saudi Arabia.

Sears called Biden’s trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia “troubling,” adding “I just feel like we’ve lost our way in America.”

“And then the fact that [Biden] is begging the Saudis to produce more oil when we can do that here very well. We were net oil producers, oil exporters, and now here we are begging another country, no matter the country, to produce more oil. We have no authority to do that in another country, so why doesn’t the president open up our fields here?”

When asked about Biden’s infamous fist bump with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Sears answered, “To be truthful, I don’t really know what [the first-bump] signals because now that the president landing on American soil is saying that when he spoke to the king of Saudi Arabia, that he spoke with him about certain matters and without any hesitation. And then here is the Saudi kingdom saying, actually, no. I’m not sure what he will accomplish and I’m not sure what that meant because it’s been a disaster, as far as I can tell up to this point. So let’s hope good things come out of it,” she told Fox News Digital.

The Lt. Governor didn’t stop there. Sears also went on to remind the American people that the U.S. needs to unleash the full potential of domestic oil production.

“But in the meantime, as the president, I would say, open up our own fields so that we can grow, so that we will not be dependent on anyone. We were a net producer before you were president. We can be that again. It is your policies that have gotten us here. Inflation is not temporary, as you finally acknowledge. And stop gaslighting us. We know the truth. We’re paying for it every day.”
