Trump Hints At ‘Major Motion’ Coming After FBI Raid, Former AG Whitaker Predicts What’s Next

Published on

Former President Donald Trump is teasing a ‘major motion’ in response to the raid on Mar-a-Lago, which calls for the appointment of a “special master” to review and return evidence collected, and it could come as early as Monday, one of his attorneys said Friday. Trump believes the unprecedented raid violates his fourth amendment right.

Appearing on Mark Levin’s radio show, attorney Jim Trusty said that the filing could come as soon as Friday night but also as late as Monday.

“It’s probably going to be more like hours,” Trusty said. “It’s coming very soon.”

Donald Trump posted on Truth Social Sunday, “I hear the great Agents and others in the FBI are furious at FBI leadership for what they are doing with respect to political weaponization against a President (me) that always had their backs, and they like (love!) a lot. They don’t like being “used” by people they do not agree with, or respect. Likewise, they are not exactly thrilled with their leadership at DOJ! Similar to the revolt against Comey when he exonerated Crooked Hillary but was forced, by them, to withdraw the exoneration!”

Former acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker joined ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ to discuss what comes next following the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

Whitaker told ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’, “I was there with President Trump at the Department of Justice, and the men and woman of law enforcement, including the FBI, and all of the DOJ components did love President Trump and had a lot of respect for him and admiration.”

The former AG went on to voice his disappointment with the FBI and what the agency has become, “What has happened to the FBI, especially the leadership of the FBI, continues to trouble me and many others that spent time at the Department of Justice where there has become a politization. We’ve seen Senator Grassley has lots of whistleblowers that are complaining about the two-tiered system where they go after Republicans but on the Left obviously, there is less including the Hunter Biden investigation that continues to languish.”

When asked what he thinks is going to happen in the coming weeks, Whitaker said he didn’t think Trump would be indicted at least not in the ‘near term’, but suggested that “this hearing is very interesting, this motion that’s going to be filed as soon as tomorrow because we could learn a lot more about the case, we could see a more detailed inventory list, and the FBI is going to have to put up some more information, and we’ll learn a lot more about this case.”
