Got to give Adams credit where credit’s due. After all, it’s not often that a Democrat says or does something that I actually agree with. New York City Mayor Eric Adams took a strong stance on school prayer during a recent address, declaring “when we took prayers out of schools, guns came into schools.” Regardless of what we all think about religion in schools, I couldn’t agree with him more.
Mayor Adams, who has been open about his Christian faith, made his comments during an interfaith breakfast on February 28th.
“Don’t tell me about no separation of church and state,” Adams added during the address. “State is the body, Church is the heart. You take the heart out of the body and the body dies.”
