A library in Lake County, Illinois will be hosting PrideFest 2022 and is encouraging children to show up in drag. According to a flyer for the event obtained by Libs Of TikTok, other gay-friendly activities during the festival will include Affirming Books, Drag Queen Story Time, and Drag Kids Dress Up.
Libs of TikTok reached out to the public library to ask “why they are sponsoring this abuse of children”, but Highwood Library refused to respond.
It’s one thing to attempt to groom our children behind our back, but the event requires parents to take their children, which means those who attend will be supporting this sort of behavior. It has many parents in the community concerned, that encouraging children to dress in drag, is being tolerated right in their backyard.
One Twitter user even suggested that it wasn’t considered “grooming” because “this is a thing parents take their kids to”.
Btw this is a thing parents take their kids to. So if they're aware and okay with it, by you people's definition, it's not grooming is it.

Highwood Public Library isn’t the only library hosting PrideFest. Waukegan Public Library serving the Waukegan, Illinois community will also be welcoming children to try gay for a day.
Members of the community were concerned over the fact that Drag Story Time was the only storytime concept being presented to the children, and that storytime for firefighters, police, doctor, lawyers, and accountants would be left out.
Drag Queen story time.

Now what's the purpose of that? Is there a story time for firefighters? Police? Doctors? Lawyers? Accountants?
Why on earth do we see so many organized Drag Queen story times? It's almost as though there's an effort to normalize a behavior with kids.
PatriotOneNews.com has independently verified that the event does in fact exist and can confirm that according to the DailyHerald.com, PrideFest 2022 will be taking place in Waukegan on June 4th. It is the second annual Lake County PrideFest celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
