The baby formula shortage in the U.S. has drawn backlash from several Republicans who are pointing to the low supply in an attempt to ramp up pressure on President Joe Biden.
According to Newsweek, Senator Marsha Blackburn, a Republican lawmaker from Tennessee, tweeted Monday that parents in her state are struggling to find baby formula.
“What is Joe Biden doing to help families?” she asked.
Florida Senator Rick Scott posted a similar message Wednesday, saying that the shortage is “unacceptable” and that he would demand that the Biden administration do more to fix the issue.
Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene voiced her frustrations as well on Twitter, “Americans are suffering from a baby formula crisis, a border crisis, skyrocketing inflation and fuel crisis, and they are fed up with America last politicians.”
Greene was one of 57 Republicans to vote NO on the $40 Billion Ukraine Aid package that passed the House and is now on the way to the Senate Floor.
