Thousands of pro-choice activists from all over America traveled to Washington, D.C., on Saturday for the “Bans Off Our Bodies” event organized by a coalition of groups including Planned Parenthood and the Women’s March.
According to a recent Fox News article, welcoming activists to the nation’s capital, Rachel Carmona, executive director for the Women’s March, warned this will be a “summer of rage” as she spoke at the event held on the National Mall.

We’re not exactly sure what Carmona meant when she warned Americans to prepare for a “summer of rage”, but it sure does sound a lot like Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s recent “call to arms”.
Regardless of what the abortion rights activist actually meant, the Left continues to get away with rhetoric that conservatives wouldn’t dare dream of speaking.
Carmona then proceeded to tell those who gathered in D.C. for the “Bans Off Our Bodies” event that the law will not apply to them if they don’t get the outcome they desire.
“We will be ungovernable until this government starts working for us, ungovernable,” Carmona said, leading those in attendance into an “ungovernable” chant. “That’s why we are taking to the streets today in cities all across the country. It’s why today isn’t just one day of action. It is simply day one of an invigorated movement aligned behind one simple demand, and you all heard it, keep your bans off our bodies!”
“Today is day one of an uprising to protect abortion rights,” Carmona said. “It is day one of our feminist future and it is day one of a summer of rage where we will be ungovernable, ungovernable. And we will not stop until the politicians on our side start acting like they’re on our side.”
Carmona said she and other activists will fight “until justice protects us from attacks on our bodies” and “until everyone who wants an abortion has the right to get one.” She also vowed to see other activists in the “streets this summer continuing to fight.”
