Just like so many of you, I couldn’t believe my eyes last night as I watched Fox News break the “leaked SCOTUS draft opinion” regarding one of the most controversial legal cases in America, Roe Vs. Wade.
Before I really had a true understanding of what was going on, I was excited, confused, and skeptical about the decision. I knew something was off when the MSM reported “SCOTUS overturned Roe Vs. Wade, DRAFT OPINION LEAED”. And that’s because, since Sept. 24th, 1789 not one Supreme Court document has ever been leaked to the public prior to an official SCOTUS ruling.
A story like this has never been reported because the unthinkable act of going as far as to leak such a sacred legal document simply didn’t exist – until now. I could only imagine Chief Justice Roberts and others feeling a deep sense of humiliation and anger over the fact that someone, most likely one of their own, whether a legal clerk or another Supreme Court Justice, would actually go as far as discrediting the highest court in the land in a desperate attempt to win the 2022 midterms.
Yes, things are really bad on the Left, and yes they will most likely get annihilated in November, but someone at the Supreme Court taking it upon themselves to leak the opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, reportedly overturning Roe v. Wade. has just shattered 200 years of sacred tradition.
Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University Law School, was quick to start a Twitter thread where he called this leak a “malicious act”, and I couldn’t agree with him more.
“The article represents the greatest crisis that Chief Justice John Roberts has faced in his tenure on the Court. It is a breach of the most fundamental obligations and traditions of the Court,” he added.
“If this is a true copy of the draft opinion it is hard not to view this as a malicious act. What is the motivation of releasing such a decision? The only intent of such a leak is to trigger a response from outside of the Court.”
Yes, there’s a 2022 midterm election angle here. As Turley noted, “the most likely motivation is obviously to pressure the Court and push the legislation in Congress on a federal abortion law before the midterm elections. It will also likely renew the call for court-packing.”
My sentiments exactly. The worst part, however, is that the Left is likely to praise the person who did this and put them on a pedestal for their “heroic act of bravery all in the name of protecting women’s rights” while completely ignoring the fact that innocent lives are being murdered in the process.
But do the unhinged left care? Of course not, and the Libs Of TikTok account on Twitter has already highlighted just how sick some of these far-left radicals are with their reaction to the news that SCOTUS may in fact be set to overturn Roe Vs. Wade, ending guaranteed federal constitutional protections of abortion rights. A seismic meltdown of epic proportions comes to mind while witnessing pro-abortionists lose their minds over the thought of not being able to kill babies.
But even more concerning than a few unhinged Libs losing their minds on TikTok is the fact that if it is true that someone did in fact leak this opinion, it proves once again that Left has no shame, and that the woke mob will stop at nothing to get their way. This is by far one of the most destructive things to ever happen to our legal system, and no matter how SCOTUS officially rules now on Roe vs. Wade, no one will believe they did it without bias pressure.
